Happy Super Bowl/Puppy Bowl Day! YAY! Hope yours were fabulous and you had loads of fun and food.

I spent the day sleeping until 2pm as I couldn't fall asleep last night from insomnia. Then we went over to Kari's, from My Life With Dogs, and watched the games, ate delicious chicken parm sandwiches she made (as well as home-made guac and ranch dip), and drank some delicious coronas. And of course petted and snuggled some puppies! It was a great evening.

And the Saints won! YAY! I'm so happy for New Orleans! And great Doritos and Google commercials today. Those were my faves by far. Not too shabby.

Now to work doubles everyday this week. I am sure I'll be a bit behind with posting this week but what can you do? I'm even working on my bf and my 4 year Anniversary. At least we'll have dinner together that day. I can't even believe we've been together four whole years. It's been a journey but we are still going strong and love each other so much. Hopefully we more fully celebrate once this week is done. That's the tough part of having an anniversary this close to Valentine's Day. Ah well.

Hope your weeks are lovely and full of love and cute homemade Valentine's. :)

"We know for certain we have twins coming, so what is the probablity that they'll be identical?"

So I have been working a lot, thus the lack of entries. It has literally been me getting up, going to my office job down the block, driving the 45 mins-1 hour out to my restaurant job in Malibu, then driving home at 10pm eating dinner, doing a mini veg out session, then going to bed and repeating, for a week now. Except this past Sunday when we went over to friends for salmon tacos and then I stopped by a friend's bday party after and didn't get to bed until 2:30am. Then yesterday was "crazy stress work day".

So I'm sorry I haven't posted for a few days. We did however on fish taco day get plenty of play time with the "terrible trio" from My Life With Dogs which was a great stress reliever and little shot of puppy rejuvenation before the stress of Monday hit.

Monday was a mess. Blah. My boss can be a 5 year old. I find a lot of males in the city of angels tend to behave the same way he does. Sometimes it can be endearing, sometimes (like yesterday) I want to punch him. What can you do?

Luckily my honey is very sweet and lets me vent to him and then snuggles me. Also luckily today was my "day off" where I go to physical therapy and run all my errands for the week. PT kicked my butt but then I came home and just relaxed for awhile and skipped my big to-do list. I look like a grub-star but I don't care. It was nice to not have to get dressed up for work, or smile all day, or be "on" for people. It was great. Then my friend came over. My math nerd extraordinnaire is going to tutor her in statistics/probability. Isn't nice that I have a PhD math geek in my home to pimp out to friends? I love him. He does these things just because he loves math and loves to teach. Isn't that cute? And he made us dinner before the tutoring began, he's too sweet!

So since I've been away I thought what better way to make up for it then by posting loads of pictures for you! YAY photos! I love photos. :)

So here are some of the HUGE full moon we had the other night (it was actually 300,000 miles closer to the earth than normal) as viewed from my workplace out in Malibu:

Here are some pics of some things from around my apartment...
Penelope (my poinsettia) with my Turner Classic Movies catalog:

My packed bookshelf:

On top of my bookshelf:

Little sign on our door:

Georgia Peach sign above the stove:

Craft Table, really messy Craft Table:

French Picture corner:

Gerbera Daisies I bought today:

Old movie posters and my Gone With The Wind calendar:

The craft I get the most compliments on:

Who doesn't love a good construction paper Christmas tree? That has been our tree for the past two years here in LA. It's just too hard to have a real tree in our lil' apartment. And we love it so much we leave it up all year. People always gush when they see it for the first time. Who knew that when I got into a five year old mood and wanted to play with paper I would make the thing in my apt. people love most to see? I love it and am proud of my construction paper skillz, that's right skillz not skills. :)

Now to curl up with Joe (post-tutoring) and watch some Bill Murray in Groundhog's Day! Yay :D

Have a good one guys! See you soon.

"Concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't do"

So this day is just strange...

First because I missed work yesterday feeling sick so I'm in the office on a Thursday which just feels weird. And then I have to go to my other job tonight. And I do the same thing tomorrow. Weird.

Secondly, Harold Zinn and JD Salinger died yesterday. And before that Zelda Rubinstein, James Mitchell, and Jean Simmons. These are actors and authors that I grew up with. It just feels strange to know they're gone. Like when Patrick Swayze died. Like something is missing. My boyfriend just made fun of me about this actually...I cry every year at the In Memoriums for the SAG Awards and Oscars. I can't help it. Usually there are one or two, recently more, actors who have changed my life. Who have made me feel more than most people in "real life". Maybe that's because I am an actor. Maybe it's because I'm still an 8 year old child who thinks movies are magic. Who really puts themselves into those places when they watch film. Or reads a book. Which I do constantly. I have probably spent more hours reading and watching film than anything else. And it just pains me to lose these people who have transported me outside my little bubble of world. Somewhere bigger, somewhere different, somewhere nicer, harder, scarier, sweeter, somewhere else. It just saddens me deeply. And as I gorw older I've begun to appreciate Harold Zinn so much. Salinger means so many different things now to me than when I was younger. And these actors. As I gorw and try to develop my craft these people have been inspirations, in different ways. Related to talent, persistance, business savvy, any and every thing involved in this craft that you don't necessarily "see". It just feels weird to be without them today.

Just a weird day.

I am, however, having a lovely little lunch that my bf packed for me. Turkey meatloaf sandwich, cut up gala apples, terra chips, and a Divine Grape Kombucha Tea. Very organic and tasty. Mmm. And I feel better today which is nice. I hate feeling icky, I just feel useless and that my ever-long to-do list is just sitting there angrily waiting to be completed. That could just be the work-a-holic in me though. :)

Hope you are all having a lovely day, even if it is a bit weird...

"Okay...let's go dig up your uncle."

So Kari from My Life With Dogs is back from Alaska and back to her pups and we are so happy she's back! But I must confess: I miss snuggling with the pups. It was a fun week. But Joe and I are glad to be back in our Cali King Size Tempur-pedic! I love that bed.

Lots of work this week, trying to make some money to pay all these bills, bills, bills. And hoping to find a few auditions for this week too. Oh and Joe and I are going to really start trying to put away money for our Ireland/Poland trip and trying to rescue a puppy. We want to travel and then start our own little pack.

Hope you are all having a lovely week and here is a little something to make you smile from dog sitting this past week. :D
