A quickie post about being vegan on the go in Detroit. Visit the Polonia Restaurant in Hamtramck. It is a family favorite of Alex's family (they've been going for over 35 years) and it was featured on Anthony Bourdain's The Rust Belt episode. They have a few vegan dishes that are to die for Polish cuisine! Check out what Alex ate for her 3rd breakfast on Saturday before the rehearsals with her good (Polish) friend Mike D:
potato vodka and water and Warka beer
beet soup
homemade rye bread
the veggie plate (cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, mashed potatoes, cauliflower, etc.)
