"Well it couldn't have been that bad..."

So a little bit of catch-up from this crazy week...I finally am caught up on reading all the blogs I love to read. And I am finally done working doubles every single day. This weekend was crazy busy. Our little restaurant in Malibu was PACKED and people were either super patient about how busy V-day weekend gets or they were super duper rude about it. And to make the annoyance level even higher my back, of course being as crappy as it is, was failing by the middle of both days. Needless to say I slept on my heating pad every night and took pain meds like it was my job. I did, however, get to wear one of my super cute 1940's house-dresses for V-day. It's white with red polka dots and I wore a red belt, shoes, earrings, and necklaces with it. And one of my homemade hair pieces of course. That was the only highlight really.

But I did get Friday after 4pm to spend with my honey for our anniversary. And it was a great evening. We went to the Pleasure Chest (which is an adult store here in LA) and we bought a couple kit with all sorts of goodies. A candle that the wax turns into massage oil, bubble bath, massage oil, a massage wax bar, a blindfold, all sorts of romantic goodies. Then we made dinner together: fresh ahi tuna tartar with a delicious spicy sriracha sauce and Trader Joe-Joe's cookies for dessert. We watched the movie Role Models and just snuggled. And then we tried out the new candle. It was great! We had a great anniversary. I still can't believe it's been four whole years!! Crazy!

And my mom sent us this cute picnic basket gift-basket to celebrate with too:

I'm just glad I'm back on a semi-normal schedule. And hopefully my back will get right and stop hurting. And my new tattoo will stop itching like crazy, sheesh! I've never had this before, it is itching like whoa, let me tell you.

Hope you all had wonderful Valentine's Days with your honeys and/or pups. :D

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog - am glad you liked seeing the silver filigree - amazing stuff, eh?! I can't tell you how much my kids and I used to enjoy Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - what a hoot to see it again at the top of your blog. I hope you'll soon be feeling much better. I'll be back... it looks like there's always something fun happening here. :-)
