My friends, what a BUSY week!!!
Loads at the new job, loads at the older job. Love being at places that love my work and me. Feels great. Even through the loads of stress it feels good to be there. :)
Had my first orientation to be a senior camp counselor at an acting camp for kids from around the world. It was a long day but I am SO excited to go and work with these people and those kids! June 23-July 3 is going to be a great 10 days, I can just feel it! I am just trying to figure out all my teaching stuff, oh yeah, I'm teaching auditioning technique for t.v./commercials. SO excited! I think this is just going to be amazing. :)
Joe and I have discovered a new restaurant here in LA. It's called Real Food Daily. It is DELICIOUS! I am in love with it! Such great tasty organic local foods that are turned into amazing dishes. We split an orgo root beer and a cup of country veggie miso soup. Then Joe had a noodle dish with loads of veggies, orange glazed tofu, and sweet rice croquettes. I had "not-chos": baked corn tortilla chips, guac, pico de gallo, tofu sour cream, chipotle sauce, black beans (and I actually ate them!), tofu "taco mix", tomatoes, and melted jalapeno cashew "cheese". It was SO amazingly tasty! I'll be visiting them a lot I can tell you that! :D
We finally watched 'Up', it made me cry so hard and I loved every minute of that movie. Doug/Dug(?) was my favorite! So goofy and sweet and loyal. Just perfect. I also watched 'My Sister's Keeper', pretty sad but for the most part I really liked it. I still do not enjoy Cameron Diaz though-blech. Watched 'Green Dolphin Street', classic film, Donna Reed was delightful; 'Some Like It Hot'-one of my faves, and 'Doctor Zhivago'-slightly disappointing. I was expecting so much more, so many had hyped it as "one of the greatest romantic movies of all time", it was alright don't get me wrong but to me, not the greatest.
I had a little time to finish a creative project I was working on. A special "Thank You" package for my friend's M.I.L. in Alaska (who is now my friend). I don't want to give too much away but I'll post pictures soon! It just felt nice to get a little creative, I've needed it.
I also had a few friend's birthday parties to attend. We went to C & O Trattoria in Venice. I had the most amazing Penne Arrabiata-spicy and delicious! We also had a delicious bruschetta, loads of wine, and most the others had garlicy bread balls (they weren't vegan though so I didn't eat any). They sing "That's Amore" as a big sing-along and toast everyone. It's just perfect. We also went to Finn McCool's an alright Irish Pub. And Chleo's and Shangri La. They were alright.
It's just been a busy week. But a good week. Hope yours have all been lovely as well!
