"When you open up your mouth to speak, could you be a little weak?"

This Madonna song is seriously describing some stuff going on in my life. To the T.

Anyway...interview tomorrow to be an acting instructor for kids! EXCITING! One next week for the front desk of a high up salon. Hopefully a new job is on the horizon! :D

It has been pretty stressful lately. Office job is stressful as we are a bar, it's a recession, we're breaking even, we owe a bunch of back taxes, and we're in a dispute with our landlord so it is A LOT to deal with. Other job is obviously stressful due to all this crap previously blogged about. Plus now searching for a new job and auditioning. It's just a lot. So I've been a bit hermit-ish. From the stress and from the ick I've been feeling from what was said to me. So not much hanging out BUT here are the pics from the hockey game 2 weekends ago and some pics from around here in LA for you to enjoy.

This weekend is busy with work, my interview and 2 friends' birthday parties. So expect more pics (eventually-been a bit slow on the up-take lately) and some stories of debauchery. Oh and Tuesday I won at beer bingo! It was AMAZING. Love Little Bar on La Brea and 8th. Loads of fun in an hour. Delightful :D

Have a great weekend and we'll chat again soon!

"I can't stop the rain on my window..."

So my dears, I have been busy. Busy working, trying to find a new job, watching tons on movies on my DVR, walking the pups from My Life with Dogs, staying at home like a hermit, and seeing my physical therapist, acupuncturist, and new counselor (whom I'm seeing about this whole work situation and how I feel from it). Busy huh? Hopefully though all of this busy time will lead up to a big vacation somewhere in my future :D Let's hope.

Okay so I'm back on my whole I NEED to rescue a dog ASAP kick. I have been slightly soothing that need with spending all that walk time with the three pups but some of my other friends are rescuing puppies and I just really REALLY want to rescue our own pup. We just have to save up more money. We're just a little tight after tax season, aren't we all? Hopefully in the near future though! My own little puppy to love and snuggle-soon Soon SOON, I'll just keep sending that out into the universe :D

Well take care all and hopefuly some more exciting news will be coming. I will post some amazing pics from this past weekend at the LA Kings game with Kari and her DH from My Life with Dogs too. We had a blast so be on the look-out for those :D

Just a Spoonful of Sugar...

So yesterday was amazing! I took the day off work and my bf and I spent the day with our friends Kari and her DH. We had huge breakfast chimichangas with them. Then went to the LA Kings hockey game and then had a grill-out with them. It was just delightful! It was so nice to hang with friends, eat good food, watch a game, and throw back a few drinks.

And it was a gray day here in LA so no work today and I spent the day watching movies with my bf (after his soccer game that is). It was nice to have a whole weekend to spend with Joe and to be comfortable and to be free of negative energy. :D I watched '9 to 5' and 'Whatever Works'. The first is a fave of mine (and felt right on track with my work situation) and the second has been not great. I don't know-I'm just not a Woody Allen fan. I know loads of people of love him as a director but I keep giving him a fair shake and he just keeps letting me down. :( Joe and I watched 'The Ugly Truth' (alright movie, Gerard Butler is gorgeous), 'I Love You, Man' (pretty silly but I like it), and 'Yes Man' (okay film, I love Rhys Darby [Murray from Flight of the Conchords] so I loved it for him). Pretty busy day huh? Poor Joe got a migraine after 'Yes Man' though and went to bed then I got a tummy ache. Then Joe had his own little Big Carl "poop episode" minus the poop though.

He went to lay down for a nap to help with his migraine. I brought him some water (he gets headaches when he gets dehydrated) and he fell asleep for an hour whilst I watched "Whatever Works". Then I heard him start to scream like he was being injured or killed. I ran to the bedroom door flung it open to reveal him in bed yelling that there were green wiggly things coming out of the light bulbs. I just had to laugh. He had a bad dream and had been screaming from that. How very BC of him right? Screaming bloody murder about green things that weren't there. Too cute! He does things like this though. Talks in his sleep. Yells in his sleep. Jerks awake like he is going to punch someone out and then realizes he was dreaming. He always wakes me up in the middle of a deep sleep with one of these episodes. But they are pretty few and far between. This one was just so hilarious because it was his little nap and I was awake. Must just be funnier since I wasn't in the middle of sleeping.

His little sleep freak-outs just make me love him all the more. He's just the cutest. And has been so frigging supportive for me through all this work stuff. He just reminds me every single day he loves me and thinks that I'm beautiful. That nobody can make his "Moneypenny" feel bad (that's our nick-name for each other, we both think we're the James Bond in the relationship but I mean, c'mon, math geek Joe=the Moneypenny). I just love him SO much!

Okay enough mushy-ness. Tomorrow is another day. Of work. Ha! Have a good week my loves! :D

P.S. Julie Andrews came into my job. She is the epitome of class and grace. Even in a ball cap and sweater around her shoulders. LOVE HER! Sean William Scott also came in and may I just say that his parents have done an AMAZING job on raising him. He is just so polite and sweet and kind. Love him too! I don't usually gush about my celeb encounters but these two were on the level of when I met Meryl Streep and Al Pacino. Too fantastic not to gush a little ;)

This just in...

So more on the whole work thing. I had a meeting Sunday with the owner to talk over everything. I explained how the whole thing made me feel disgusting and like I wanted to crawl out of my skin and harassed and singled out and discriminated against. He said he felt the whole thing was handled in the wrong way. And he was sorry I felt that way. And I appreciate him talking to me but as I explained to him I do not feel comfortable around my male managers. And I don't, I constantly think about where are they and how can I avoid them. And today, my female manager wouldn't look at me and was very curt and obviously upset with me. So now I feel uncomfortable around her as well, like she is mad at me because I talked with the owner Sunday. I just don't want to be there because it stresses me out and makes me feel super uncomfortable. I just feel weird there now. And it is making me feel emotionally and mentally exhausted. I feel exhausted tonight after being there for 5.5 hours. I shouldn't feel that way.

Oy I just needed to get this all off my chest. I feel so stressed out about all this. I am just looking forward to Saturday when I get to go to a hockey game with Kari and her DH. I get the whole day to hanging with my bf and my friends. We are going to watch hockey (one of my fave sports) and then grill-out some carne asada and drink some corona & margaritas. It is going to be a day of rest that I have earned. Mental health day to say the least.

Well I hope you all have a wonderful week! You all deserve it too! :D

Adventures in Dog Sitting!!

Finally, eh? So here is what we did on our week of puppy-sitting...

Well we kept up with our exercise plan, 3 walks a day at least! And the pups always (and sometimes me) took naps after.

Tuesday on our walk there were fire trucks across the street! Baily and Mesa wanted to go play with them but we decided that might not be the best idea.

There was lots of wrestling.

A little work at the office.

Some bone chewing.

And of course, loads of snuggles and silliness!

So it was a great week! It was hard to go home on Sunday night and we definitely missed the snuggles in bed that night too.

We went over yesterday to watch Seinfeld and eat breakfast for dinner with Kari's DH and the most hilarious thing happened. Big Carl is hilariously weird to say the least but this took the cake. He disappeared (to the bathroom we discovered after this whole episode) and all of a sudden we heard this high pitched squealing of pain coming from him like he was dying. He started to run around the apartment in circles with something hanging off his haunches. For a minute we thought he was being bitten by something. My boyfriend Joe managed to pick him up and it turns out he had a poop hanging off his butt. We all fell to pieces laughing. Kari's DH said it's what he gets for pooping in the house. It was the silliest thing. We were all scared that he was hurt or being hurt and it turned out it was poop! Too perfect.

Hope you all had a good week. :D
